The Boy who Cried Wolf story
There lived a shepherd in a village. He used to take all the sheep near the hill to get some grass every day. But he was a mischievous boy.
Once He was feeling lonely. So he wanted to have some fun. He stood on a high rock and started shouting loudly "Wolf! wolf!, The wolf has come, help." On hearing its sound, the farmers and laborers working in the nearby fields came running to help him. When they reached there they found that there was no wolf.
They asked, "Where is the wolf?".
Boy said, "There is no wolf here. I was joking" and laughed.
The villagers became very angry and returned to their work.
Next day, the boy played the same trick again and The villagers come again to help the boy. But when they came to know that the boy was lying, everyone advised him not to lie like this else they'll not come to help him again.
A few days later there, The shepherd boy was with all this sheep on the hill again and suddenly the Wolf started attacking all his sheep. The boy got very scared. He started climbing up the tree to save his life and then he called for help. He shouted, "Wolf, wolf, please help!". The villagers thought that he was upto his old tricks and No one went to help him. The wolf killed his many sheep. The boy realized now lying is a bad habit.
Moral of the story: No one believes a liar, even if he is telling the truth. Lying never leads to good results.
