AYUSH is an acronym for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.

AYUSH is an acronym for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy and with few exceptions is one of the widely practiced and practiced Indian systems of medicine in India and some neighboring Asian countries. To arouse interest in the development of such a system, a department called the Department of Indian System of Medicine was formed in March 1995 and renamed as AYUSH in November 2003.

The objective of the Department of AYUSH is to develop education, research and dissemination of indigenous alternative medicine systems in India.
